Keith Spurgeon MOSBY & CO. AUCTIONS Proudly presents an auction of antiques in many categories. Toys are highlighted by more items from the Dave Stoermer Pre-war Japanese toy collection. There is also a nice selection of European, American and also comic character toys. We will be selling more wonderful 19th century games, many from McLoughlin Bros., and sealed Aurora monster model kits from a local collection. There are many pieces of original cartoon art from the estate of well known CA. artist Mickey Bach including examples of his long running (1946-1979) strip Word-A-Day and a presentation piece from Billy DeBeck to Mickey. There is a nice grouping of Country Store and advertising pieces including a beautiful Walnut Lorillard & Co. Tobacco cabinet. More original Sideshow banners from the late Bob McCord's collection from artists are included in this varied sale. Military items include an 1864 CSA Fayetteville Rifle and a Confederate "Corn Pone" sword. There are several images of armed Civil War soldiers in this section of the sale. A special addition to this sale are some Victorian bathroom fixtures and accessories; a Ribcage Shower by Standard, complete and C-1910, an amazing and complete Flow Blue sink, J.L. Mott cast iron pedestal sink, a rare early and fancy 1888 W. S. Cooper Brass Works embossed toilet, there are bathroom accessories from Art Brass Co., Sternau Mfg. and others. From the same fine estate come some beautiful Aesthetic Movement accessories and stands including a very rare, all original, C-1875 safe hidden inside a mahogany wood with carved door. A pair of 19th century Monumental Bronze and Iron andirons. Stick and Ball decorative door arches and more.
