Decorative Arts Auction feat. Rookwood

Treadway Gallery is holding their annual Decorative Arts auction this June 5th at the Historic Museum Center at Union Terminal located in Cincinnati. This important one-day sale includes more than 500 lots, all shown on their website and in their full color catalog. The Saturday morning auction begins with a large selection of important and rare examples of Rookwood, Rozane, Weller, Owens, Roseville, with the emphasis on Ohio pottery. Collectors will find a good selection of Rookwood including works by Kataro Shirayamadani, E.T. Hurley, Ed Diers, Sallie Coyne, J.D. Wareham, Carl Schmidt, Lorinda Epply, Lenore Asbury and more. Included are many examples of Moorcroft, Charley Vyse, Martin Brothers, Royal Doulton, Lachenal, Zsolnay, Ruskin and Bigot. Buyers will find numerous examples of Arts and Crafts pottery such as Van Briggle, Teco, Wheatley, Fulper, Dedham, several pieces of Newcomb and metalwork by Dirk Van Erp. There is also a collection of WMF metalwork including several rare examples. American and European art glass including L.C. Tiffany, Tiffany Studios, Galle, Daum, Muller, Rene Lalique etc. A selection of graphic works by Leon Dolice and Gustav Klimt are also being sold along with a fine Pedro Lemos pastel. Other artists include John Weis, Victor Casenelli, William Meuttman and Werner Drewes There are several fine Asian vases. A nice Tiffany Studios lamp with a rare base is being offered, both shade and base are in excellent condition. As always, everything is guaranteed.
