Asian Collection, Fine Art, Estate Auction

Finney’s Auction Service is pleased to offer at auction the Estate of Dr. Kevin-John McIntyre of East Greenbush, New York.  Dr. McIntyre amassed an amazing collection of Oriental antiquities, European Art, Nautical items, and rare antiques during his world travels. Finney’s will be offering these items with hundreds of unreserved lots for auction from the McIntyre estate on Saturday June 12th. Highlights of the auction will be original paintings by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, Sidney Percey, Lescot, Haseltine, Nagre, Parra, etc. A fine variety of Oriental items will be offered including Porcelains, 18th Cent Embroidered Princess Robe, Large Embroidered Wall Hanging, Ivory, Pair of Chiang Lon Rainy Blue Alter Vases, Silk Embroidered Rank Badge Framed, HuangHuali Hunting Chairs, Huang Huali Dining Table, Cabinets, etc. In addition, the auction will include a Collection of Frogs collected from around the world, an Erotica Collection, Nautical Items, Music Boxes, etc. Dr. McIntyre's career  ranged from senior Vice President of Discovery Channel-Asia, university professor, foreign service diplomat, documentary producer, and authority on Asian culture. In addition to dramatically expanding Discovery's footprint in Asia, McIntyre wrote and produced an award-winning, six-part film series titled “Artifactsâ€, detailing the history of porcelain, calligraphy, architecture, metallurgy, wood block printing, and silk in China and Japan.
