Apollo Gallery has the pleasure of presenting to you a new catalogue for January 2022 with a breath-taking assemblage of art from the ancient world. This new catalogue boasts beautiful authentic ancient art and antiquities which has been carefully vetted by an array of specialists including Emma Saber, a specialist in Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Near Eastern antiquities for over twenty years and a specialist for Christie?s, one of the world?s leading auction houses, she has lectured for Christie?s education on the antiquities market and how to collect and catalogue antiquities. Richard Falkiner, a specialist with years of experience, he has offered his expertise for The Masterpiece, Brafa, Freeze Fairs and Bonhams; Richard also becomes the youngest head of department; covering inter alia Ancient and Medieval, Islamic items as well as coins and medals for Christies, where he offered his expertise for fourteen years. He has also been elected as Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London; and Russel Scott, who has been the authenticity officer for the Viking Society for over twenty-six years. His extensive knowledge stretches into manufacturing techniques for museums, including the British Museum, he has been in the antiquities trade for over forty-three years and has consulted for the BBC on documentaries specialising in Medieval and Viking weaponry. Our January catalogue appeals to all areas of the collective market including eye watering Greek and Roman pottery, wearable gold jewellery, weaponry, including rare Chalcidian helmets, Migration period swords with inlaid handles, Viking axes, Gandharan sculpture, and funerary sculpture of the Tang Dynasty, in the form of horses and riders, attendants and animals.
