This Extravaganza offering over 800 items from the Feller's over three sessions during March 25th & 26th auction dates. This session with 350 lots and well over 1000 items has items from Robert Fellers Naval days aboard the U.S.S Alabama, his personal home office executive desk, Early Major League Baseball career items that he had saved for nearly 100 years close to his heart and kept safe. Within his 1933 Who's Who in American baseball book includes a Rookie year photo taken at Chicago's Comiskey Park with Billy Sullivan Sr, His High school baseball and basketball letter award, letters from his sister during WWII, US Navy Books from the 1940's signed Robert W Feller U.S.S Alabama, Sterling belt buckle R.W.A.F, signed Richard Nixon book, many many signed books to Bob and Anne from the author, Lithographs, book ends, bronze desk sets and much much more! Bob was named 'The Greatest Pitcher' of his time for the Cleveland Indians and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962. He played 18 seasons for the Indians, was an 8 time 'All Star' and ranked 36 out of 100 in the list of 100 of the Greatest Baseball Players in the 'Sporting News'. At the age of 23 he was the first American professional athlete to enlist in the military the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor!
