Eclectic Works of Art, ex-Anthony Quinn
Artemis Gallery is thrilled to present an impressive ensemble of works from the collection of the late, great actor Anthony Quinn. Mr. Quinn appeared in more than 180 films in his 55-year career and his work brought him to exotic locations across the globe. His lifelong passion for collecting art fueled his creativity and helped bring to life some iconic characters like Zorba the Greek, Paul Gaugin in Lust for Life, Auda Abu Tayi in Lawrence of Arabia… and hundreds more. Some of his favorite filming locations were in Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Mexico and the deserts of North Africa and the Middle East. Quinn collected art and artifacts from various cultures and eras, fueling this passion with his sincere curiosity, intelligence, and boundless energy. Artemis Gallery is honored to feature works that Anthony Quinn acquired over the years - a vast array of visual culture that includes Classical, Asian, Pre-Columbian, African, Spanish Colonial, European, and Indigenous Arts. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this artwork will be donated to the Anthony Quinn Foundation, whose mission is to advocate for the important role arts education plays in personal development and in the overall improvement of social, economic, and cultural systems. Learn more about the foundation at aqfoundation.org.
