American & European Art

The American and European Art auction will offer more than 100 lots of paintings, sculpture, and works on paper from the 19th and 20th centuries with a selection of works by Ashcan, Modernist, Impressionist and Regionalist artists. Of particular note are works by French Impressionists Alfred Sisley, Raoul Dufy, Henri Jean Guillaume Martin, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and an important painting by Pierre-August Renoir from the Collection of Richard D. Simmons. The European session also features four paintings by British maritime artist Montague Dawson. The sale will also feature two portraits by one of the pioneers of the Ashcan School Robert Henri, four works by Hudson River School painter Jasper Francis Cropsey and eight landscapes by Wolf Kahn.
