Lewis Collection of Indian Artifacts
We are pleased to present the first of two sales of the Steven Lewis Indian Relic Collection of Manchester Ohio. Mr. Lewis spent over forty years assembling primarily Southern Ohio and Central Kentucky Artifacts of all types with a very discretionary eye. After reaching the age of retirement he has decided to place it back in the hands of the collecting community by selling the entire collection. Don?t miss this rare opportunity to purchase many fine quality artifacts of multiple types including several fine banded slate pendants, gorgets, bannerstones and a variety of Ohio and Kentucky flints of all types. Also included will be several quality axe?s, hardstone celts, and a large assortment of framed personal finds. A few of the sale highlights are a fully intact 5 ¼?? Nicholas County Kentucky Dovetail, 14 ½?? Hardstone Roller Pestle from the Clemons Caldwell and DR. T. Hugh Young Collections, 6 7/8?? Bucks Creek Point pictured by Knoblock in the 1940?s as part of a cache found on the Ohio River, a high quality Ross county style Fluted Clovis Paleo Point, and a very fine and large Three Quarter Groove Hardstone Axe.
