The Salmagundi Club, at 47 Fifth Avenue in New York City's Greenwich Village, will host its famous Annual Spring Auctions of works by artist members in all media, including oil painting, sculpture, fine-art graphics, and photography. Works at auction can be viewed at the Club from Monday, February 13, through Friday, March 16, and online beginning Wednesday, February 25, at Live Auctioneers, where online bids will be accepted during the auction events. The First Auction will take place on Friday, March 2, at 8 p.m.; the Second Auction on Sunday, March 11, at 2 p.m., following a festive Champagne Brunch at the Club; and the Third Auction on Friday, March 16, at 8 p.m. The semi-annual recurrence of this event is eagerly anticipated by art world cognoscenti familiar with the well-known quality and diversity of works by Salmagundi artists. Every Spring and Fall avid collectors gather in the Club's large Upper Gallery to purchase pieces of lasting beauty and value at prices far below those at commercial galleries. At this Spring's event, upwards of 200 beautifully executed works of mostly representational art will be on display.
