The most important private collection of early Gustav Stickley furniture ever to be sold at auction, The La Hacienda Collection of Decorative Arts has been entrusted to the Treadway/Toomey Auction partnership. On May 20, 2012, collectors will have an exclusive opportunity to bid on early Gustav Stickley furnishings and decorative arts never before seen by individuals outside of this private family estate. The John L. Jerome Collection and 20th Century Art & Design Auction will be held on Sunday, May 20 - beginning at 10:00 a.m. (central time) at the John Toomey Gallery located at 818 North Boulevard in Oak Park, Illinois (a Chicago suburb). This important four-session sale includes nearly 1100 lots. Our sale begins with the La Hacienda - John L. Jerome Collection of Gustav Stickley. Session Two: Arts & Crafts/Art Nouveau containing furniture, ceramics, lighting, metalwork, graphics, textiles, paintings, and glass. Session three showcases fine art, including American and European oil paintings, prints, and watercolors. The forth session will be made up of 1950s/Modern furniture, lighting, ceramics, Italian glass, jewelry and decorative objects.
