John Moran Auctioneers is proud to present its summer Art + Design sale, featuring an important work by American Modernist Agnes Pelton. The fine art lineup includes Alice Baber, Sam Francis, Titus Kaphar, Julie Heffernan, Frank Stella, and Brazilian Modernist sculptor Victor Brecheret. There is also the impressive collection from John McKaughan Jr., Art Director of Braniff International Airlines for over 20 years. It features original works and prints by Alexander Calder, and fabric swatches and designs by Alexander Girard and Emilio Pucci. Leading the design selection is BD Barcelon?s Salvador Dali chair. Other highlights include design legends George Nakashima, Hans Wegner, Warren Platner, Charles and Ray Eames, John Conard Lewis, Piero Fornasetti, and ceramic masters Doyle Lane and Harrison McIntosh. Rounding out the sale is a 2010 Porsche Boxster convertible.
