CIVIL WAR COLL. OF THE LATE EDGAR EWING-DAY 1

Mr. Ewing retired from teaching history at the Oley Valley School District in Oley, PA and began acquiring the items in his sizable collection of contract muskets and pistols, edged weaponry, books, ephemera, accoutrements, and battlefield relics. The Civil War was his main interest, with the Confederate items holding a special place. Included in the over 900 lots, along with the above-mentioned items, are many CDV?s, photos and tintypes, a large assortment of cast lead soldiers, box, belt and shoulder plates, cartridge boxes, relic cannonballs and minie balls, powder flasks, Confederate currency, and more.
