The inaugural Arms, Armor & Militaria sale of the 2025 season brings a variety of high quality and desirable firearms to market for the collector, the sportsman and the serious shooter. Some of the highlights for the collector include a lovely Pre-War Commercial Mauser C96 Pistol with Stock Holster & Leather Carrier (Lot #1140) and a 1941 Production Colt Woodsman Match Target in Box with Elephant Ear Grips and Custom Target Grips (Lot #1177). For the sportsman a number of custom rifles by John Oberlies of Dayton, OH are offered, including a Custom John Oberlies Winchester Model 1885 High Wall Rifle in .30-40 Krag (Lot #1167) and a Custom Springfield 1903 Sporting Rifle with Griffin & Howe Mounts, attributed to John Oberlies (Lot #1159). Of particular interest are a fine grouping of custom handguns from the golden age of the 1911 gunsmiths, including pistols worked on by Armand Swenson (Lots #1048, #1083, #1092 & #1229), Frank Pachmayr (Lot #1109), LW Seecamp (Lots #1045, #1067 & #1074) and Venry D’Aiguillon (Lots #1087, #1227 & #1257). Handguns by other famous makers and custom builders included in the sale are those by King’s Gunworks, Terry Tussey, Detonics, ASP, LaFrance Specialties, Wilson Combat, Les Baer and Nighthawk Custom. Finally, some of the special factory pistols include an early import H&K P7PSP (Lot #1051) as well as a Rare Factory Nickel Finish Heckler & Koch HK P7M8 (Lot #1084).
