Terms & Conditions
PAYMENT: Full payment, including the 21% buyer's premium, must be received
before April 5, 2013. Payment can be made with VISA, MasterCard, Discover
and American Express, Checks, Bank Checks, and Cash. Credit card
information must include: 1) Cardholder's name; 2) Credit Card account
number; 3) Expiration date; 4) Security code on the back of card; and 5)
Complete billing address. This can be emailed to email@example.com,
telephoned to610-722-9004 or sent by letter to Gordon Converse & Co., 758
Mancill Rd, Wayne, PA 19087 at the conclusion of the sale. Any bidder who
plans on spending in excess of $100,000 should make arrangements at least
five (5) days in advance of the sale, as a deposit may be required to
participate. We reserve the right to clear checks before property is
removed from the salesroom.
CONDITION REPORTS AND DESCRIPTIONS: Written and oral descriptions are only
our opinion and do not guarantee authenticity, age, condition, or
materials. We make an honorable effort to correctly catalog all lots and
attempt to point out significant defects, but we are not responsible/liable
for the correctness or completeness of the descriptions of the lots. It is
in the best interest of prospective bidders to examine or have examined all
items of interest at the preview. If this is not practicable, call us at
610-722-9004 and direct your concerns to Todd or Gordon Converse. If you
doubt catalog wording or meaning, we suggest you deduce the worst scenario
or simply do not bid. Remember that by placing a bid, you enter a legal
contract wherein you guarantee your full payment before April 5, 2013.
SHIPPING AND DELIVERIES: CONVERSE can pack and ship many of the items in
this sale. Please carefully read catalog entries for specific information
as to cost, etc. of packing and shipping through CONVERSE. WE DO NOT AND
WILL NOT INSURE ITEMS SHIPPED DIRECTLY FROM CONVERSE & CO. so if you
require insurance; you must use a 3rd party shipper. We recommend our local
UPS Store (firstname.lastname@example.org). In some situations, we can arrange
to deliver items. With all shipping, the transaction is between you and
your chosen shipper. Regardless of how your items are shipped, we require
notification of your plans (preferably in writing) when paying for your
lots. If you wish to use the UPS Store, we will give them your contact
information and they will contact you directly after you pay CONVERSE & Co.
for your purchases. If you fail to make shipping arrangements, we will move
your items to storage and a storage fee will be incurred. After 30 days we
reserve the right to resell your item to recover storage fees. All items
being picked up by you or your 3rd party shipper must be removed before
April 12, 2013.
USING OUR RECOMMENDED UPS SHIPPERS: If you request our recommended UPS
store(s) to pack & ship your item(s), you will receive an estimate from
them after payment is made to CONVERSE for your auction purchase(s). The
UPS Store(s) will contact you with a packing & shipping quote (including a
courtesy discount on packing). After your approval and payment, they will
pick up your items, pack, and send them to you. It may take up to two weeks
to get a quote from them. If you would like a shipping quote before the
sale, email either of the recommended stores giving the lot number(s) and
your address. We are neither responsible nor liable for the prompt shipment
of your item(s).

ITEM PICKUP: Items will be available for pickup on March 25, 26 & 27, 2013 at
1128 Greenhill Rd., West Chester, PA, 19380 between 10:30 and 4:00. For
other pickups, please give us at least 24 hours notice.
All sales are final. By bidding in this auction you agree that you will pay
the full hammer price plus the buyer’s premium and you understand that you
are legally bound to do so. You may not under any circumstances stop
payment on your check or do a chargeback on your credit card.
