Country Store & Early Advertising
Before neon and mass production, American storefronts told their stories through craftsmanship, color, and design.
Amanda Auction Gallery is proud to present the Country Store & Early Advertising Extravaganza, a January simulcast auction dedicated to the pieces that once defined the American retail experience.
This thoughtfully assembled offering features country store fixtures and early advertising from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including original clocks, soda and tobacco advertising, salesman samples, trade stimulators, display pieces, signage, and mechanical novelties. The auction strikes a careful balance between recognizable national brands and harder-to-find examples, selected for their visual appeal, authenticity, and historical character rather than excess.
Highlights include a National Bank clock, a scarce salesman sample Coca-Cola cooler, an early stereoscope viewer, and a Rock-Ola 5-Cent Slot Machine, supported by a strong selection of period advertising and store-related material appealing to both advanced collectors and new buyers.
The auction will be held Saturday, January 18, beginning at 12:30 PM, conducted live from our gallery at 5450 Amanda Northern Road SW, Amanda, Ohio 43102, with real-time online bidding available through LiveAuctioneers and AuctionZip. AAG welcomes participation from private collectors and dealers nationwide.
Join us this January for an engaging sale that celebrates the craftsmanship, design, and enduring appeal of early American advertising and country store Americana.
