Sale 507 represents the second and final sale of the collection of Dr. Richard Topel, a notable collector of books on the South Sea, Australia, Hawaii and the Pacific Ocean. This collection ranges from narratives and novels about cannibalism and adventure to accounts of famous expeditions and scientific reports. Within this sale we are proud to have all three of Cook's Voyages, a large collection of German ethnographic works and even the handwritten log of a whaling vessel.
