Revere Auctions is proud to present the estate of Leo and Doris Hodroff, a collection assembled over a lifetime of discerning acquisition and brimming with masterworks of European furniture, monumental textiles, and exquisite decorative objects drawn from their longtime Twin Cities home. The living spaces were anchored by monumental pieces such as a 19th c. Ziegler Sultanabad carpet, its soft floral field grounding a pair of George II carved giltwood console tables, while a 1905 Steinway Model A baby grand piano, resplendent with bespoke gilt accents, lent the rooms an unmistakable air of refined luxury. The Hodroff?s were renowned hosts, and much of the collection saw regular use at their table; a tradition of gracious hospitality is reflected in an exceptional sterling silver collection, including flatware and serving pieces in the romantic Gorham ?Melrose? and regal Reed & Barton ?La Reine? patterns, alongside a rare set of eight Mark J. Scearce Mint Julep Cups dating to the Johnson administration: a classic emblem of American hospitality. Rounding out the collection are gleaming period light fixtures and intimate antique portrait miniatures, each piece chosen not merely for function but to harmonize within a singular, cohesive vision of sophisticated living. Revere Auctions is honored to bring this distinguished Twin Cities estate to market, connecting storied property with the next generation of connoisseurs.
