This auction concentrates on photogravures created and printed in the 1900s. Though some of the photographers overlap there are also a number of new artists and photojournalists. Some of these are of course as famous as the old masters, others are unknown outside a small circle. Almost all our gravure prints are mounted on standard size, conservation mat-board to help stabilize and protect them. They can be framed in standard size frames as is, or matted if preferred.
