NO RESERVE, Historical Petroleum Club Auction

PICK UP INFORMATION: Sunday, January 11th and Monday, January 12, 2015 from 10 AM - 4 PM. Be Advised: Exxon Mobile has told us that they will not allow people in the building to pick up there items so we are having to hire movers to have it moved out of the building into a tent across the street with 24hour security on Saturday, Jan. 10th. There will be a 2% moving surcharge added to your final invoice for this service. There will also be a charge to take down any chandelier and to move the piano(s). We apologize in advance but it is out of our control and the only possible way to make this happen. DETAILS The Petroleum Club dates to 1946, when it was established by a group of Houston oilmen. Its first president was R.E. "Bob" Smith. In 1951 the group began meeting on the top floor of the Rice Hotel. As its membership increased, the club needed more room. In 1963 it moved into its800 Bell location on the southern end of downtown, where it now occupies 45,000 square feet. Today, more than 20 energy-related organizations meet at the club monthly, said the club's new general manager, Daniel Moreno. Associations such as the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Houston Chemical Association and the Geophysical Society of Houston hold regular meetings there.
