Simpson Galleries is once again very proud to offer you this collection of fine art and antiques. These collections come from some of the finest homes and multigenerational families in Houston. We are delighted to highlight a few exceptional items from our auction catalog. The Bayou Lair Collection, Percy and Marjorie Selden, New York, New York and Houston, Texas including works by famous mid-century designers such as Ray and Charles Eames, Florence Knoll, Eero Saarinen, Ib Kofod-Larsen, Mies van der Rohe, George Nelson, Poul Kjaerholm, Jens Risom, and Hans Wegner to name a few. Our decorative arts department has outdone itself featuring items by Tiffany, Baccarat, Steuben and Lalique as well as many others of comparable quality and elegance. In addition to these noteworthy items, Simpson Galleries will be offering our usual blend of pre-Columbian pottery, crystal, china, porcelain, silver, and Russian works including: Silver by Georg Jensen, Hans Hansen, Allan Adler, Kay Fisker, Porter Blanchard, and KEM Weber. Fine art by sculpture Charles Umlauf (Prometheus and the Mother and Child given to the Umlauf Garden Museum in Austin), paintings by, Galvan, Kepes and Pohl. T. Loo in New York and Richard Gump in San Francisco.
