Following on from April?s event, The Watch Sale at Fellows on the 26th May is raising the bar yet again for watch auctions.
There is a veritable feast of over 600 different watch styles and brands in this auction, with lots ranging from complex Horological works of art, to models from well-known Watch Houses, and interesting and affordable Vintage timepieces.
Put simply, there is a watch for everyone?s wrist, and wallet.
The auction is due to start with a bang on the 26th, with lot number 1. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Dual Timeis a watch for those who travel in luxury. Elegant yet sporty, it houses an impeccably finished movement inside the instantly-recognisable Royal Oak case.Between 1945 and 1976, Lemania supplied a variety of chronographs to the Fleet Air Arm. Lot 416 is a naval issue gentleman?s chronograph wristwatch, and is one such model dating from the 1950s. The case back even shows the original HS designation being crossed through and overwritten with the later NATO stock number.A limited Edition Swordfish Ali Baba Chronograph wrist watch features as Lot 119. Number 20 of 40, with a Mother-of-Pearl dial with factory multicolour stone set baton hour markers it?s sure to make a statement on anyone?s wrist.A classic timepiece features as lot 406. The Vacheron Constantin has an undisputedly vintage look with a rectangular yellow metal case, stamped 18k, and uncluttered silvered dial.
