This session [Sale #212] of the Quinn's & Waverly Auctions Winter 2005 Sales focuses on First Editions, Signed & Limited Editions, Americana, Autographs & Manuscripts, Fine Bindings, Art Books, and Varia.

American and English authors represented in the sale include Lawrence Block, Willa Cather [signed, limited edition], Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, John Dunning, William Faulkner, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Joseph Heller, Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce [including a signed, limited edition of Finnegan's Wake], Ken Kesey [signed], John Steinbeck, Eudora Welty, and W. B. Yeats [signed, limited edition].

Also included are several signifant documents pertaining to George Washington and his estate at Mount Vernon, including an indenture signed by George Mason, the father of the American Bill of Rights.

There are several lots of fine bindings executed by the bindery of French master craftsman Georges Levitzky, and numerous lots of modern decorative bindings, including publications of the Franklin Library.
