WestLicht Photographica Auction No 8

Westlicht Photographica Auction is happy to announce the next auction on Sunday the 27 November 2005 at 11 a.m. (CET)

One of the auction highlights is the Leica M7 Titan with three Titan lenses. It was made last year in a limited edition of 50. The first of these camera has the number 3,000,000 and is thus the three millionth Leica made. In May of this year the set was presented by Leica Camera AG to the Brazilian photographer Sebastiao Ribeiro Salgado. Now Salgado is having the camera auctioned by WestLicht Photographica Auction for charitable purposes. The proceeds will be used to support Salgados foundation for the reforestation of the Brazilian rainforest. Salgado will be present in person at the auction.

As further highlights of the coming auction the two black Leicas MP-150 and MP-88 owned by Stern photographer Thomas Hoepker will be auctioned. Each of these extremely rare Leicas in original condition will be offered with a selection of famous black and white photographs that Hoepker made with the cameras. Thomas Hoepker will also be present at the auction.

We are, of course, available to give you information about our auctions at any time. If you can come to Vienna for our Novemeber auction we would be happy to help you with hotel reservations. If you would prefer to bid from home you can, as always, do so in writing, by fax, phone or via internet.
