December Fine and Decorative Arts Auction
Nye and Company compiled a large collection for the last auction of 2015. The majority of the 700 items hail from the greater New York area and all come from private collections or estates. The pieces are specially chosen for their holiday appeal and ease of shipping, meaning there is virtually no furniture offered, and the items will arrive in time for presents. The auction will take place December 15 and 16th, 2015 at 10am. Derrydale Press A private estate in New Jersey is selling jewelry, sterling silver flatware, Baccarat and Steuben glass along with Correia colorless glass engraved with sporting scenes, several Georgian table top boxes and tea caddies and a group of works from Derrydale Press, which was founded on Park Avenue in the early 20th century, and was known as the only publisher in the world focused exclusively on the sporting theme. Works by Roland Clark, Eugene Connett and William Robinson Brown are for sale. Jewelry and Silver Link, tubular, rope and mesh bracelets, figural ear clips, hummingbird pins in 14K and 18K come from a private collection. Another person is selling Tiffany gold bracelets, brooches and pins. Another consigned Paloma Picasso designed pieces for Tiffany. Bailey & Company six-piece tea service, Reed and Barton flatware and much more comprise the silver. An Art Deco Diamond and Platinum watch along with a cottage-form pendant watch are some of the special timepieces.
