European, American, Modern & Contemporary Art

The November 30 session will offer almost 350 lots of European, American, Modern and Contemporary Art. Highlighting the auction is an important work from 1881 by Pierre-Auguste RENOIR entitled Portrait of an Infant (Mlle de Rougemont) (lot 166). Other EUROPEAN ARTISTS include Marc Chagall, Jean Dufy, Egon Schiele, Konstantin Gorbatov, Konstantin Westchilov, Maurice de Vlaminck, Jean Baptiste-Camille Corot, Fernand Leger, Jean Louis Ernst Messonier, and Camille Pissarro. AMERICAN ARTISTS include John Fulton Folinsbee, Jean McLane, Hermann Herzog, Edward Henry Potthast, Harry Leith-Ross, Richard Henry Fuller and Charles Webster Hawthorne. Also represented in the sale will be Robert Henri, Everett Shinn, Joseph Stella, William Merritt Chase, Elihu Veder, Birge Harrison and James Carroll Beckwith. MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS include Yuri Pavlovich Annenkov, William Scott, Boris (Ber) Israilevich Anisfeld, Arshile Gorky, Natan Isaevich Altman, Jack Tworkov, George Rickey and Syed Haider Raza. The auction will also offer works by such notable LATIN AMERICAN ARTISTS as Fernando Botero, Angel Botello and Francisco Zuniga.
