IRELAND: Stamps, Postal History, Wreck Mail

Our 94th Auction features many new items fresh to the market including many new discoveries. The auction starts with Postal History from 1754 onwards and a most unusual selection of Wreck Mail with Irish connections. The section of Political and Propaganda includes two Exhibition standard blocks of the 1922 IRA 6 pence. This is followed by over 160 lots of Overprints with many rarities and several new discoveries. Commemoratives are well covered and include 1974 Lifeboats MISSING GOLD! The Airmails feature a fine range of early acceptances and Zeppelins. The sale concludes with an impressive run of Postal Stationery with early H and K sizes commercially used and a previously unrecorded 5 pence olive green size H with code A.S.
