Historic "Twelve Oaks" Hunting Lodge, Cuthbert, GA, built in 1847, Historic "Dixie Manor" of Covington, GA, built in 1838, Historic "Revolution" home of Eatonton, GA, built in 1852, Historic "Marsh Warthen" house of Lafayette, GA, built in 1836. Happy New Year to everyone! We have acquired some fabulous treasure for our Jan. 29th auction. Mary Helen Joiner was one of Atlanta’s premier designers for decades. Four Seasons has been selected to sell her personal lifetime collection of antiques. We have items from the Henry Howard Irby family, (founder of the Buckhead area), which traveled to the King Lumber family home, “Twelve Oaks”, built in 1847. King’s granddaughter married Robert Woodruff of Coca Cola. Included are items from the historic “Dixie Manor”, a gorgeous old Southern mansion built in Covington, GA in 1838. Items from the Marsh Warthen house, built in 1836 by Spencer Marsh, son of William Marsh, Revolutionary war hero site where Confederate General Braxton Bragg planed the famous “Battle of Chickamauga”. Items from the historic Georgia Trust home, “Resolution”, which was recently featured on HGTV. The home was built by Dr. Robert Adams in 1852 in Eatonton, GA and formerly called the Adams-Young River House. Partial Listing of Items: 1955 T-Bird convertible, 1967 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow, 1961 Mercedes 190SL convertible, 1963 VW Beetle Convertible and more cars to come. Highly carved canopy bed, marble top china buffet circa 1850, early French chests, several fabulous sideboards, Tiffany Lamp, Galle vases, A. Walter Lion statue who was a former artist and ran the Daum studio from 1906-1914, Webb Vase, Honesdale vases, additional Daum Nancy items, Steuben, Muller, early Staffordshire figures, early Ironstone, 16' mahogany triple pedestal dining table, French armoires, mahogany breakfronts, highly carved Victorian sofas and chairs, marble top tables, pianos, antique gilt pier mirrors, 1015 Bubble jukebox, 1946 Rockola jukebox, stained glass, leather books, over 50 antique oils on canvas, many by well listed artists. Oriental rugs, chandeliers, life sized bronze, garden urns, sterling silver, jewelry, cut glass, pewter country collectibles, glassware, stemware and more items arriving daily.
