The highest bidder for each lot shall be the buyer, and if any dispute arises as to any bidding, or between two or more bidders, at the sole discretion of the auctioneer, the disputed lot shall be put up again at the last undisputed bid and resold. If within 60 days time the purchaser returns the property in the same condition as when purchased and gives us written proof from a recognized impartial expert which establishes beyond a reasonable doubt that the returned property is in fact a counterfeit or a forgery intended to deceive and that this was not indicated by a fair reading of the auction catalogue, sales agreement or auctioneer''s comments at the time of sale, then we and the consignor will rescind the sale and refund the purchase price. This is a non-assignable guarantee and applicable only to the receipt-bearing original purchaser. THERE SHALL BE NO RETURNS FOR ANY REASON. Estimates. Pre-sale estimates of the expected hammer price of each lot are provided for the convenience of prospective bidders. In most cases, they do not represent reserves. Bidders are encouraged to bid what they feel an item is worth. Phone bidders must contact the Gallery no later than one (1) day prior to the auction and provide the lot numbers and description of the items that they wish to place bids. In the event that Bidder is not available at the time Santoro and Shienbaum and/or their staff phone the number provided by bidder, Santoro and Shienbaum shall not be responsible for failure to contact the bidder. Phone bidding is only available for lots with a low estimate of $100.00. Phone Bidders are subject to the same terms and conditions as Absentee Bidders. AFTER THE AUCTION Internet Billing: Santoro and Shienbaum will invoice all successful bidders within 48 hours after the close of the auction. Successful bidders are expected to pay for their purchases immediately.
