Highlights include sculpture from artists Richard MacDonald, Rueben Nakian, Chester Armstrong, and Eric Kaposta; our Latin American department offering items by artist Jesus Rafael de Soto; a unique collection of Chinese snuff bottles, jade, and jadeite carved figures from the 18th and 19th centuries; paintings including works by Richard Pettibone, Mian Situ, David Adickes, Stanley Metzoff, and Donald Roller Wilson; from our Mid Century Modern department, pieces by esteemed designers such as Isamu Noguchi, George Nelson, and Hans Wegner; and on the block exclusively at Simpson Galleries, a limited edition Steinway & Sons Macassar Ebony Piano never before offered at public auction. Simpson Galleries is also very excited to offer an important private collection of jewelry from the estate of the late Earl D. Mitchell of Houston, Texas, including a 14.73 Cts. emerald cut diamond, a 12.75 Cts. step cut emerald, and a 21.68 Cts. fancy yellow round full cut diamond.
