Belle Epoque 19th/20th Century Decorative Art

The June 7 auction will showcase fine and decorative arts reflecting the opulence of the Belle Epoque. Furniture and decorations of the Louis XV and XVI revivals, Victorian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras will be offered, as well as art glass, porcelain, silver, marble statues, bronzes, ivories, clocks, sconces, chandeliers, rugs, and a selection of Tiffany Studios articles. Highlights include 10 dessert services with ornithological and botanical decoration by Rozenburg (lots 2209-2213 and 2215-2219), a micromosaic table with scenes of Rome (lot 2544), a Meissen Neoclassical style clock (lot 2519), a Victorian carved oak side table by Mackenzie & Mitchell (lot 2497), a Frank Lloyd Wright window (lot 2647), and a Lambs Club bronze World War I memorial figure (lot 2113). From Tiffany Studios are a favrile glass vase (lot 2239), a favrile bronze encased pottery vase (lot 2260), and a watercolor and pencil study for a window (lot 2061) among many other examples of Tiffany Studios glass, lamps, bronze, pottery and accessories. Art glass includes a Brocard Islamic style glass bowl (lot 2188) and a pair of J. & L. Lobmeyr Islamic style two-handled vases (lot 2187). Fine art features "At the Ballet" by Jean Louis Marcel Cosson (lot 2044) and "In the Boudoir" by William Arber Brown Kirkpatrick (lot 2063).
