Paris-Drouot based Aguttes Auction house, in association with the Cabinet d’Expertise Dan Coissard, will present a collection of important Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, Modern and Abstract paintings in Paris, France. The auction will also include exceptional Russian and French Nineteenth and Twentieth century painting as well as Orientalist paintings.
One of the auction highlights is the large scale sculpture Love-Red Blue by Robert Indiana. “LOVE,” as well as Wassily Kandinsky’s 1931 painting Coulant, an important work from the end of the artist’s Bauhaus period.
The Russian portion of the sale will also include works by Aivazovsky, von Klever, Gorbatov, Lapchine, Pougny, Konchalovsky, Zhoukovski, Makovsky, Okolovitch, Korovine, Rockline, Chana Orloff, Vassilieff, Serebriakova, Roubtzoff, Somov, Abel Pann, Makowski, Valentin- Serov, Pimonenko, Alexandre Benois, Albert Benois, Kowalski, Westchiloff, Constantin TErechkovitch, Markitant, Altmann, Tarkhoff, Svietoslavski and Zaborov.
Suprematist, Constructivist, Rayonist and abstract artists include Rodchenko, Klioune, Larionov, Sofronova, Kogan, Souietine, Popova, Tchachnik, Lanskoy, Papazoff and Charchoune.
The auction will include an exceptional collection of contemporary photographs. Highlights are Negresco by Italian photographer Massimo Vitali. Four large scale photographs of nudes, by Antoine Verglas will be shown as well as Silas Shabelewska’s photograph of the Helmut Newton. Vlada Krassilnikova, Burhan Dogancay, Gérard Rancinon, Joe Rubin, Alexander de Cadenet and more.
Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings in the auction include works by Valtat, Picasso, Manet, Renoir, Morisot, Degas, Marie Laurencin, Maurice de Vlaminck, Henri Manguin, Emile-Othon Friesz, Maurice Denis, Bernard Buffet, Takanori Oguiss, Henri de Montfried, Lovis Corinth, Henri Lebasque, Stanislas Lepine, Achille Laugé, Hyppolyte Petitjean, Jean Souverbie and André Lhote.
Foreign School artists of note include Le Pho, Tsuguharu-Léonard Foujita, Toshio Bando, Sei Koyanagui, Tang Haiwen, Hisao Domoto, Fikret Moualla, Selim Turan, Burhan Dogancay and Fernando Botero.
