I am disappointed because they didn't say it was missing the remote control. without it I cannot use the AR SRC! I wasted my money.

I called to make arrangements to pick up a vintage waffle maker that I had purchased. I drove over 20 miles to a barely discernible location in the "Garden Spot of America", Sunland! When I arrived, the facility was so poorly marked that I could barely find it. When I did, I knocked on the door, and no one answered. I called the number on the invoice, and the same woman I had spoken to earlier (who assured me that they would be there) seemed confused and totally without a clue! She supposedly said that there would be no one available, and I said WHY didn't she tell me that before!! In any case, I told this genius that I was not not about to make another 40 plus mile round trip and if they wanted to complete the sale, they would have to ship it to me at their expense as I had already gone beyond reason to pick it up! Continuing to sound totally clueless, I told her to be sure and relay that message! I don't think she ever did!! I have bought some great items from Hughes in the past, but this current operation is basically useless!!

The description stated there was a cord that came with the waffle iron. When my items arrived, the cord was not in the package. I contacted the auction and received a quick reply stating that there was an error in the statement as the lot did not come with a cord. The pictures did not show a cord. I am disappointed and will now have to find and purchase a cord for this 1932 era waffle iron.

Great auction house. Simple from start to finish, and the two guys help out after the fact. Will be back..

Thought the shipping (25 $for a 15 $item) should be posted an known so bidders can decide. I have always enjoyed the online auction bidding. I did not know that after the online bidding, the items go live, and if you don't happen to be available, you lose. I did get a text but the timeframe was pretty inaccurate, so I missed out on bidding-plus that was a whole different process that I could not do in time on my phone.

The folks at Hughes were great. I went to pick up my artwork and it was about 2 inches too big to fit in my Civic. They brought it to my house that afternoon for a very reasonable fee, with excellent communication throughout. Friendly people.

I have bought three times from Hughes Auctions. So far so great!!! They package very well when they ship and I hope to buy more from them in the future!!!!!!

The item had insect damage that was not at all visible in the auction pix. I informed the house and they accepted item back with no arguments and refunded my payment. Very pleased at their responsiveness and solution
