Lot 10251
This is an original Cop & Stop short case vending machine from Pulver Chewing Gum, circa 1930's. It is in excellent and working condition. It is all porcelain with original paint. There is some minor wear, and spot of possible touch-up on front, but overall it is bright and clean. Both lock and winding keys are included.  * The wind-up mechanism operates smoothly with pennies, and works best with wheat pennies since they are slightly heavier than modern day coins. The mechanism must be periodically wound to continue working. Some reproduction packs of "Too Choos" and "Joy Mint" gum are provided so you can enjoy the action.  When you drop in a penny, the policeman turns his STOP / GO sign like he is directing traffic at the vending machine.  And there's likely to be a traffic jam with all the fun this machine provides! * The overall dimensions of the case are 9 x 21 x 4 1/2 inches. * This is a terrific Pulver gum machine, and it will be fabulous fun for any collector. * This machine is featured on page 160 of the book Silent Salesman Too by Bill Enes (as shown in the photo). *
