SHOTGUN. Cal. 20 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 86697. Bbl. 26" w/ rnd. post special factory VR. Fixed Imp. Cyl. choke. Red target front sight w/ steel mid bead. Blued action w/ jeweled bolt & carrier. Bottom of receiver below S# marked "PIGEON". Forearm of fancy fiddle grained black walnut has wrap around point pattern Pigeon grade checkering. Extremely rare straight grip factory stock of fancy walnut has wrap around point pattern Pigeon grade hand checkering. LOP: 14 5/8" over original style solid red pad. DAC: 1 1/2". DAH: 2 1/8". Neutral cast. WEIGHT: 7 lbs., 14.6 oz. The Model 50 was Winchester's first successful autoloading shotgun, over 196,000 mfg. 1954-1961. Pigeon Grade Model 50's w/ special order straight grip stocks are very seldom seen. CONDITION: very fine. metal retains over 98% bright original blue. Wood has very good original finish showing only a few sm. marks. Bright near excellent bore. (21-357/DS). CURIO. $2,750-4,000.
