Description
Pair Chinese 19th Century Famille Rose Enameled Porcelain Mandarin Vases with gilt Fu Dog & Brocade Ball Handles to the neck, 2 pairs each of small applied gilt Dragons to the shoulders; large panels to sides and necks with Court scenes of a High Official surrounded by Court Ladies. Height 16 1/2 inches (42 cm.). PROVENANCE: Purchased late 20th Century from "legendary" Kentshire Galleries at their building, 37 East 12th Street, NYC with their printed inventory label to both bases.
Condition
Light age related wear to enamels and gold highlights, 1 vase with 1 small chip to mouth edge, the other vase with 2 small chips to foot rim.
