Description
STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFERWARE ARTICLES, LOT OF EIGHT, light blue on white, "Canova" pattern, comprising two plates, a cup and two saucers, creamer and sauce tureen undertray, four pieces with underglaze mark including pattern; and an oval serving bowl with underglaze mark for G. Phillips, Longport and the pattern name. Seven pieces Thomas Mayer, Stoke on Trent and Longport, England. Second quarter 19th century. Various sizes, plates 10 5/8" D.

Provenance: From a Massachusetts private collection.
Condition
Five pieces undamaged, creamer with a flake to the interior rim, one saucer with two flakes to table ring, and one plate with stilt mark to surface, several pieces with some light discoloration.
