Pair of Antique Chinese Huanghuali Chairs. Each chair has straight handrails that are slightly rounded on the lips. Hard mat seat square and the back there is a tall rectangular support with smooth wooden. Raised with four strong straight legs and bridged by sturdy stretched bars to two sides that conjoined each leg, the whole supported on legs of rectangles square section joined by stepped stretchers on hoofed foot. This Chinese chairs gives a strong and antique impression of luxury. Huanghuali, or yellow flowering pear wood, Originally know as huali or huali, the color can range from reddish-brown to golden-yellow. The sweet fragrance of huali distinguishes it from the similar appearing but pungent-adored hongmu. The finest Huanghuali has a translucent shimmering surface with abstractly figured patterns that delight the eye. It has distinctive form and elegant ornamentation. It is intact, with exquisite mortise-tenon technique.
