Description
Early 19th C. flintlock coat pistol, signed "I. Field", Octagonal steel barrel with Birmingham proofs and .59" bore. High quality stepped lock with bridled roller frizzen, waterproof pan and slide safety (removed) Barrel tang lock and trigger guard hand chased with foliate decoration. Carved walnut stock with inset German silver escutcheon with "WR" monogram and attractive checkered grip, original brass tipped ramrod with worm end. Excellent overall condition with strong mainspring and crisp action. Measures: 14.25" L.
