A LARGE GORHAM STERLING SILVER RECTANGULAR PRESENTATION TRAY

American, Early 20th Century, The Proctor Estate
The large heavy tray having two foliate scroll handles and a gadrooned edge, with a floral and foliate border partially framed by C-scrolls and interrupted by a plain shaped cartouche in the center of each long side; monogrammed in the center with the initials FCP (Frederick C. Proctor); inscribed on the underside in the center: Presented to F. C. Proctor,as an expression of friendship and esteem by his associates in the Gulf Oil Companies September 1st 1919; also stamped on the underside with a lion, anchor, and letter G over STERLING over IWX; 224 oz (6,350.4 gr).

Numerous shallow scratches and some small circular areas of loss on the plain top surface; the same on the underside, but less in number. 2 ½ x 31 x 19 ½ inches (6.3 x 78.7 x 49.5 cm)
