ENGLISH GAUDY DUTCH CERAMIC JUG / PITCHER, polychrome hand-painted "Double Rose" decoration with molded bearded face spout. Unmarked. First quarter 19th century. 6 1/4" HOA.
Having three areas of restoration to hairlines on rim, one 2 1/2" L. Manufacturing flaw including smear to decoration on handle, as made.
Provenance: The collection of the late Theodore "Ted" and Alvina Breckel, Oley, PA and Winnetka, IL.
