Montgomery of Alamein (Bernard, Law, Viscount of) Autograph letter signed ('Montgomery of Alamein') to Lady Pierson Dixon, reading "I must thank you for a very pleasant stay, which I enjoyed tremendously - particularly our conversation. It is always nice to make new friends, and this I feel I have done. Thank you so very much. The photograph will be taken up to London on Tuesday next, 17th January, and handed in at the Foreign Office, to go over to Paris that night in the F.O. Bag", one page, remnants of previous mount to the reverse, folding marks, some creasing overall, 4to, Isington Mill, Alton, 12 January 1961. ***Provenance: acquired by the vendor from Lady Pierson Dixon.
