East Asia, China, late Qing Dynasty to early Republic Period, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A fine glazed porcelain vase bearing fine blue decorations atop the soft white ground. The vessel exhibits an inverted piriform body with a rounded shoulder, a pair of upturned handles flanking the cylindrical neck, and a squat rim. The main body boasts broad flowers and leafy vines coursing across its surfaces, cloud-filled boxes along the lower body, curvilinear motifs around the shoulder, and tall leaves that circle around the neck. Size: 4.25" W x 8.125" H (10.8 cm x 20.6 cm)

Minor nicks to handles and foot, with light fading to blue pigment in scattered areas, and encrustations beneath foot, otherwise intact and very good. Great remains of original glaze and pigment throughout.
