The Gap Auction will invoice the winning bidders the actual amount, buyer's premium, shipping and handling when payment method is received. If paying with check, money order or T/T, please request an invoice that includes shipping and handling before sending any payment.
All property is sold "AS IS", and ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Property is open to thorough public inspection. It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value or any other determinative factor. The Gap Auction may attempt to describe the merchandise in advertising, on the Internet and at the auction but makes no representations. In no event shall The Gap Auction be held responsible for having made or implied any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Bidder shall be the sole judge of value.
Bidders who bid from off site and are not present at the live auction or preview understand and acknowledge that they may not be able to inspect an item as well as if they examined it in person. It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value or any other determinative factor. The Gap Auction shall endeavor to describe in detail each item and any pertinent information about it.
The Gap Auction will not be responsible for any errors or omissions in the description of the merchandise unless it is a material and intentional misrepresentation of the item itself. Bidder agrees that everything is sold as is and that they may not return any item they purchase.
The Gap Auction is providing Internet pre-auction and live bidding as a service to Bidder. Bidder acknowledges and understands that this service may or may not function correctly the day of the auction. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against The Gap Auction or anyone else if the Internet service fails to work correctly before or during the live auction. The Gap Auction will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. Internet bidders who desire to make certain their bid is acknowledged should use the proxy-bidding feature and leave their maximum bid 24 hours before the auction begins. The Gap Auction reserves the right to withdraw or re-catalog items in this auction.
Sales tax of 6% will be added to all Pennsylvania residents without valid sales tax exemption certificates on file at the time of the sale.
Shipping of merchandise will occur 3-7 days after we receive the buyer's payment information. An invoice will be generated for the purchased item(s) plus shipping and handling charges. Item(s) will be shipped when payment has been received.
We use USPS as our shipper. Item(s) will be shipped priority mail with insurance. We may use first class, media mail, or parcel post if item(s) warrant this change. Please respond ASAP if you want any other shipping arrangements! Handling charges are as follows: small and easily packed items: $5.00 per item, larger and/or items requiring specialty packing/boxes: $10.00 per item. Over-sized items/boxes will incur additional shipping and handling charges. Overseas shipping will incur additional fees.
We now offer shipping of furniture using a local transport company. Buyer is responsible for arrangements and payment to that shipper. Items must be shipped within 7 days of the auctions end, if stored at our facility for any longer, a storage fee will incur.
