Description

Framed Fragment of Martha Washington's Wedding Dress, 18th century, the large swatch of finely woven check-pattern cotton/linen cloth with floral embroidery, in a black-stained oak frame, ht. 20 3/4, wd. 11 in. (sight).

Provenance: Fine Arts Gallery of East Bridgewater, 1984. With a notarized statement of provenance signed by William Lanier Washington, June 11, 1921.
