Three Photographs: Suzanne, 1986, numbered "10/25," inscribed "To Stu + Bonnie," and signed "Joyce Tenneson '87" in blue ink on the verso, Cibachrome print, image size 23 7/8 x 19 5/8 in. (60.7 x 49.9 cm), matted, framed; Image from the Series Transformations, signed "Joyce Tenneson 2/50" in black ink on the verso, Cibachrome print, image size 23 x 19 5/8 in. (58.5 x 49.9 cm), matted, framed; and Suzanne in Contortion, 1990, printed later, inscribed and signed "To Stuart...Joyce Tenneson 2007" in ink, inkjet print, image size 14 x 11 5/8 in. (35.5 x 29.6 cm), unmatted, unframed.
Condition: Suzanne light-struck, resulting in color shift along mat edge, surface abrasions l.c., minor rippling; Transformations with minor rippling; Suzanne in Contortion good.

N.B. On her photographic practice, Joyce Tenneson says, "People are the center of my work and I'll always be interested in their inner life. It's what's below the surface that continues to fascinate me." The resulting photographs often imbibe painterly qualites that are sensual in their depiction of the female figure while carrying an air of mystery and introspection.

Frame size 30 1/4 x 26 1/4 in. (76.9 x 66.7 cm).
