Edward Sheriff Curtis (American, 1868-1952) Elmo Lincoln as the Original Tarzan, circa 1921 Toned gelatin silver print 13-1/2 x 10-1/4 inches (34.3 x 26.0 cm) (image/sheet) Embossed with Edward S Curtis Studio Los Angeles stamp, mount recto. Curtis was employed as the still photographer on the first two original Tarzan films, with this image coming from the set of the first movie.

Condition
Overall fair condition. Pronounced silver mirroring, more significant near the edges. Scattered hairline scratches, lines of scuffing, and pinpoint indentations visible under raking light. Discoloration to original mount, not affecting the image and not visible when mat is closed. Peeling and bumping to edges and corners of original mount, not affecting the image and not visible when mat is closed. Sheet is dry mounted to original board, measuring 20 by 15 inches. Original board is cornered to modern board. Window mat measures 21 1/4 by 18 inches. Not framed.
