Description
A large Egyptian faience necklace with pectoral scarab pendant, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, the scarab from a winged pectoral with holes on either side for attachment of the wings. The scarab is strung with a strand of faience disk- and tube-shaped beads of primarily blue color. L: 17 1/2 in (44.5 cm). Scarab measures 2 1/4 x 1 3/8 in (5.7 x 3.7 cm). Ex collection of Felicia Michalski, San Francisco.
