xi, [1], 288 pp. (4to) publisher's cloth, pictorial dust jacket. One of 3,000 copies. First Edition.

Inscribed by Toklas at the half-title: "For Jane [Andrewski?], in memory of the pleasant meetings.  [?] 14.8.1957, Alice B. Toklas". Scarce first printing, with the surrealist artist Brion Gysin's infamous recipe for hashish fudge, which was expurgated from the first American edition. A rare inscribed copy. This copy was used as a part of the "Steins Collect: Matisee, Picasso, and the Parisian Avant-Garde" exchibit at the MET in 2012.
