Carved Caqueteuse Armchair, or "lady's" chair, dated '1571' and with initial 'M' on the crest, with dentil molded top and chip carved decoration, narrow framed back, wide front, trapezoidal seat, canted arms, stretcher base, 42" high, 25 1/2" x 16 1/2", 17 1/2" high seat. Condition commensurate with age and use. Provenance: From the Estate of Frank Cowan
