Original signed Woodcut by Salvador Dali form the serie “Die Wahrsager und Zauberer” – 20th canto of the Hell.
First original version which is hand signed by Dali in pencil and numbered 16/165. Printed on Vélin - Chiffon sur Rives and published by "Editions d'Art les Heures Claires".
Salvador Dali illustrated the Divine Comedy (The Divine Comedy) by Dante Alighieri. The series was created in the years 1950-1960 in Paris and consists of three parts: hell, purgatory and paradise.

Dali himself considered these beautiful illustrations as one of his best works - the most beautiful woodcuts, he ever created. To produce the fine nuances of the illustration he needed up to 37 wooden plates to create a single leaf.
